Emirates Medical Association Explores Collaboration with Dubai Health Authorityv

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 11, 2025: His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), received a delegation from the Emirates Medical Association yesterday, led by Sheikha Dr Noura Al Qassimi, President of the Association.

During the meeting, both parties discussed avenues for collaboration across various areas, including supporting medical competencies and skills, enhancing healthcare services, and driving progress and innovation in the medical field.

Both parties emphasised the importance of coordination and joint collaboration to achieve the objectives of the healthcare sector in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates as a whole. This partnership contributes to enhancing the country’s reputation and position as a leading destination for exceptional healthcare services.

The meeting was attended by Dr Younis Kazim, Acting CEO of the Health Regulation Sector, and Dr Ramadan Al Blooshi, Advisor to His Excellency the Director-General and Acting Director of the Public Health Protection Department, representing the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Representing the Emirates Medical Association were Sheikha Dr Alia Al Qassimi, Secretary-General, and Dr Zuhair Al Fardan, Chairman of the Scientific Committee.

During the meeting, His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi praised the pivotal role of the Emirates Medical Association as a strategic partner in advancing the healthcare sector in the UAE. He commended its unwavering efforts in supporting continuous medical education programmes and enhancing the capabilities of medical professionals.

He also highlighted the Association’s role in fostering a culture of research and innovation in medical practices, enabling doctors to keep pace with the latest global advancements in the healthcare sector.

For her part, Sheikha Dr Noura Al Qassimi, President of the Emirates Medical Association, reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with various healthcare institutions to enhance its role in supporting doctors and specialists across different medical fields.

She praised the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for providing an enabling environment for medical education, scientific research, and overall professional development

She further noted that collaboration with the DHA opens new opportunities for the Association to expand its contributions to the medical community by supporting doctors through specialised programmes that enhance their readiness to adapt to global developments in the healthcare sector. She emphasised that the partnership with the DHA represents a significant step towards integrating efforts in this field.
