Globalpharma Supports Emirates Red Crescent Earthquake Relief for Turkey and Syria with more than 144,000 Packs of Generic Medicines

Aid includes supply of essential medicines including anti-inflammatories, analgesics, antiseptics, sanitisers, food supplements and anti-infectives


Dubai, UAE, 21st March 2023: In line with the ongoing rescuing efforts in the wake of the devastating earthquake, Globalpharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments and a leading generics partner in the region, has reached out to the victims across Turkey and Syria, with supply of more than 144,000 packs of generic medicines including anti-inflammatories, analgesics, antiseptics, sanitisers, food supplements and anti-infectives. Reiterating solidarity during these crucial times and supporting with needful aid as part of an effort to help mitigate the effects of the quake, Globalpharma has shipped the medical supplies in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent.


“As a responsible pharmaceutical company, our commitment to society is unwavering and is even more important in times of humanitarian crisis and in line with this, Globalpharma’s efforts have been aligned with UAE’s response to the crisis and are aimed at strengthening partnerships with individuals and other local, regional and international organisations to offer as much support as possible to the victims. We have initiated the supply of essential medicines through Emirates Red Crescent and shall continue to assess the situation and to evaluate what additional assistance we can provide as a pharmaceutical company”, said Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, General Manager, Dubai Investments Industries and Director of Globalpharma.


The Emirates Red Crescent, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Community Development are gathering and assembling relief supplies for the quake-ravaged countries. Globalpharma’s emergency medical supplies are aimed at supporting the injured, homeless and the needy people with generic medicines to resolve their immediate medical requirements.
