Dubai, April 08, 2022:  The Group Managing Director of Hotpack Global, the world’s leading manufacturer of disposable food packaging products, was honoured with CEOforLIFE Award for creating new benchmarks of excellence in meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mr. Abdul Jebbar PB received the award at a function - CEOforLIFE - ECI United Arab Emirates & Global Awards 2022 - held at the Terra Auditorium at the Sustainability Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai.

The CEOforLife Awards honour CEOs who have carried out the best life projects and set new standards of service in their SDGs projects to achieve a better and more sustainable future in the marketplace.

“It is an honour for me personally, and for Hotpack Global, to be recognized for our endeavors in the sustainability space. This is an award for our diligence and commitment to pursue our business keeping in line with the broad mandates of the UN SDGs, and I wish to thank the organizers for this unique honour,” Mr. Jebbar said in a statement.

The first edition of the CEOforLIFE awards jointly spearheaded by Dubai and Italy was held in the presence of a host of leading private and public sector entities of both the countries, highlighting the commitment the institutions of both the countries have shown in enhancing the cause of sustainable development. The CEOforLIFE awards was organized in collaboration with the UAE’s Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI).

Mr. Jebbar said the recognition will inspire Hotpack Global to relentlessly follow procedures that are sustainable and environment-friendly with critical focus on health and safety.

“Being in the food packaging industry, Hotpack needs to be dedicated in following health and safety protocols, and we have been addressing this aspect across our operations seamlessly,” Mr. Jebbar said, adding that the company’s stores also offer eco-friendly products as part of its green commitment.

Last year Hotpack had also opened an eco-store in the UAE on the World Environment Day, promoting environment and sustainability, by offering primarily green recyclable products.

Focusing on health, hygiene and quality, Hotpack has been on a growth trail for the last two years in the UAE, the region and global markets. The company has 43 retail stores in the GCC alone, apart from in India, Morocco, Australia, USA and the UK. It also exports its products to more than 100 countries.

Hotpack has expertise in making products from paper, plastic, aluminum, wood and foam and have over 3,500 products in its portfolio. The company also has 25,000 international brands as clients and 3,000 employees across 30 countries. The company has 12 manufacturing plants. In year 2020 Hotpack achieved ‘Dubai Quality Award’ for Smart Industrial Manufacturing practices and last year, the company was also certified as a 'Verified Exporter’ by Dubai Industries & Exports, the trade promotion entity of the Department of Economic Development (DED).
