• Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children also receives the 100% paperless stamp.
• The Authority cancelled the use of nearly 40 printers and the printing of more than 2 million papers.
• Digital transformation and excellence in customer happiness are among the Authority's strategic objectives.
• The team supervising the Dubai Paperless Strategy at the Authority was honoured.

Dubai, UAE, 19 October 2021: As part of its commitment to playing an active role in achieving the objectives of the Dubai Paperless Strategy launched in February 2018 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) succeeded in achieving the complete digital transformation of its internal and external operations and services as well as at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children, each receiving the 100% paperless stamp, becoming the only government entity to receive two stamps.

The honouring of Dubai Culture and Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children came during a press conference organised by Digital Dubai as part of its platform at GITEX Technology Week 2021, during which it celebrated the government entities that fully implemented the Dubai Paperless Strategy. Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, received the two 100% paperless stamps from His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of the Dubai Digital Authority, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Al Basti, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Badri expressed the Authority's pride in this achievement, stressing that it embodies Dubai Culture’s commitment to supporting the emirate's path towards digital transformation and strengthening Dubai's position as a global leader in the field of digital governments. The achievement is also in line with the Authority’s strategic objectives towards digital transformation and the spreading of happiness among its internal and external customers, meeting their aspirations to access its services smoothly and easily within the highest quality standards.

Badri affirmed that this success came as a result of the dedicated and tireless efforts of the team supervising the implementation of the Dubai Paperless Strategy at the Authority, who were recognised today in recognition of their efforts in achieving the objectives of this project. The honouring ceremony was held at the Authority's headquarters in Dubai, where Her Excellency Hala Badri presented certificates of appreciation to the team members, who included 15 male and female employees from the Authority and Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children.

As part of its efforts to implement the Dubai Paperless Strategy, Dubai Culture launched a number of initiatives and took many qualitative steps in this regard, most prominently the replacement of paper tickets with digital tickets at museums via the Nol card. Paper printing was also discontinued at the Authority's offices, as it was able to cancel the use of nearly 40 printers and the printing of more than 2 million papers, which is equivalent to saving more than 240 trees, 80,000 hours and AED 7.5 million. The electronic signature was also activated through UAE PASS across all the Authority’s operations and services, and the automation of human-resource procedures was applied on employment contracts, renewal of employee residencies, salary certificates, etc. Administrative-affair procedures for contracts, and financial management procedures were also automated, replacing supplier invoices and bank transfer documents with a sophisticated electronic system.
