Samsung Innovation Campus will provide valuable education for future generations through online insights and exercises that enhance knowledge and skillsets

Dubai, UAE 16, October 2021: Samsung Gulf Electronics today announced that the brand’s global citizenship program, Samsung Innovation Campus, is launching in the UAE with a brand new Artificial Intelligence (AI) course to empower youth nationwide. With accelerated digital transformation across all business sectors and emerging technologies already delivering consistent impact across society, AI readiness is now critical to business adaptability, continuity, and long term success. Hand in hand with this is the high demand for technical talent in increasingly AI-driven professional environments. Samsung has carefully designed this AI course to enable youth with the right skills to reimagine the future. The new program will equip participants with valuable AI, machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) knowledge and skillsets, which aligns the brand’s global corporate citizenship mission to provide education for future generations.

Jerric Wong, Head of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “Academic insights and practical exercises have always been a combination key for successful knowledge and skillsets development. But as aspirational young people prepare to pursue full-time careers amidst an evolving digital era and Fourth Industry Revolution (4IR), fostering this approach has become even more important. Together for tomorrow is a long-standing principle at Samsung, and we are proud to honor this once again through the Samsung Innovation Campus. In due course, participants will receive education and hands-on experience through the AI course, which will help position them for long and successful careers.”

The future will undoubtedly be driven by AI and ML, with both next-generation technologies already reshaping the world and presenting consumers, businesses, governments, and societies with many valuable benefits. As such, Samsung’s AI course will cover the necessary tools and applications needed to put young people ahead of the curve.

Taking place exclusively online, the course will enable participants to learn AI modeling on a concrete foundation of mathematics while developing a fluid understanding of AI projects, and gaining practical experience in related design, implementation, and results communication processes. The curriculum will also allow participants to experience ML tools and real-world problem solving with various exercises and practical projects. This will be wholly delivered to students accepted into the course at no cost as part of Samsung’s commitment to upskilling the youth of tomorrow.

Upon completion, participating students will understand data science tools, their applications, and the basic concepts of probability, statistics, linear algebra, and python. They will also gain reasonable proficiency in the processes mentioned to implement AI through ML and DL. Registration for those interested is now open up until Sunday, November 7th and seats are limited.
