• The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Lumea Series 9000 results in 92% less hair after three treatments and promises six months of hair-free, smooth skin.

• Featuring SenseIQ technology, the new Philips Lumea Series 9000 adjusts the light setting based on individual needs – it senses, adapts and cares.

Dubai, UAE – May 02, 2021:  Philips has announced the launch of its brand-new Lumea Series 9000, its fastest-ever and most efficient IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal solution for salon-smooth skin at home.

Leveraging the success of the Lumea Prestige, Philips’ new Lumea Series 9000 brings innovation to the market, with reimagined stylish, luxurious packaging and a transformed hair removal experience to suit every woman’s needs.

Consumers can say goodbye to unwanted hair with long-lasting results from the comfort – and cleanliness – of their own homes, with smart SenseIQ technology that adjusts the light setting based on individual needs and a cordless, easy-to-use device.

Sibel Yildiz, Head of Consumer Marketing Middle East, Turkey & Africa said,
“Silky smooth skin from the comfort of our own homes is no longer a dream, as it was made possible by Philips’ innovative Lumea devices. A breakthrough in beauty, the ranges’ popularity has gained momentum during the pandemic, when our studies have shown that 80% of the women surveyed had sought DIY alternatives to the salon.”

“Unsurprisingly, with an increased focus on hygiene and avoiding close contact, the pandemic has prompted 13%  of participants to purchase a hair removal device, with 71%  revealing that they did not want to go back to the salon. This is where the IPL Lumea Series 9000 comes in, with four curved intelligent attachments and SenseIQ technology so that women – especially working mums like myself – can optimise their routine and achieve desired results in no time,” she added.

The IPL Philips Lumea Series 9000 comes in three new colours, with a pale pink handle and gentler look to complement its premium features. The device emits 450,000 flashes, which is equivalent to 39 years of lamp lifespan.

IPL uses warm, gentle pulses of light to put the hair to sleep, preventing it from growing back for up to six months . With Lumea, women typically see a 92% reduction in hair after only three treatments .

Designed to Understand Skin
The Lumea Series 9000 is designed to adapt to every woman’s skin, with the SmartSkin sensor detecting its tone – even as it changes with the seasons due to sun exposure – selecting the most comfortable light setting for hair removal.

Effective on naturally dark blonde, brown and black hair and on skin tones from very white to dark brown, the Lumea Series 9000 can also sync with an application which gives consumers continued support and personalised treatment guidance.

For Every Curve
With four intelligent attachments and programmes tailored for each body area including the underarm, face and bikini, the Lumea Series 9000 offers a seamless hair removal routine without the hassle.

The technology company has also announced the launch of the Philips Lumea 100-Day Challenge, where customers are eligible for a full refund if they are not fully satisfied with the product for any reason.
