Dubai Municipality gets 9 new certificates of international standards

Dubai, 25 February 2021: Dubai Municipality has obtained nine new certificates of conformity with international standards specialized in the fields of administrative systems in addition to renewing 10 international certificates, after evaluation and auditing of them by specialized international auditing companies from UK and Germany. The achievement comes within the framework of the Municipality’s keenness to enhance the sustainability of efficiency and quality standards in its various sectors.

Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said: 'We, in Dubai Municipality, always strive to follow the best strategies aimed at applying international standards in all practices, in line with the Dubai Government Excellence Program system, in order to enhance the achievement of leadership goals in the areas of government work.'

He added: 'Certificates of international standards contribute to ensuring the application of the highest  international standards that enhance governance and the quality of all services and processes in an ideal manner, as international standards such as ISO and British specifications are considered global standards for best practices in the areas of management and corporate governance. They support improvement and development of operations and services of establishments, and contribute to achieving the best levels of customer satisfaction and happiness, with a focus on building corporate capabilities and supporting leadership efforts and excellence in organizational work.”

The new certificates obtained by Dubai Municipality included: Certificate of Conformity with Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Certificate of Conformity with the Risk Management System, Certificate of Conformity with the Business Continuity Management System, Certificate of Compliance with the Knowledge Management System, Certificate of Compliance with the Institutional Governance System as per the British Standard, Certificate of Compliance with the Anti-Bribery System, Certificate of Compliance with the Customer Happiness Charter, Certificate of Compliance with the Specification for Customer Dispute Resolution, and Certificate of Compliance with the Specification for Monitoring and Measuring Customer Satisfaction and Happiness. 

As for the renewed certificates, they included: Certificate of Conformity with the Quality Management System, Certificate of Conformity with the Information Security Management System, Certificate of Conformity with the Asset Management System, Certificate of Conformity with the Partnership Management System, Certificate of Compliance with Guide to Handling Complaints, Certificate of Compliance with the British Standard for Comparisons Standard, Certificate of Conformity with the Standard for Learning and Training Management Services, Certificate of Compliance with the ISO Guide for Competency Management and Personnel Development, 2019 Edition, Certificate of Compliance with the British Standard for Government Contracts and Procurement Management System, 2019 Edition, and Certificate of Compliance with the ISO Guide for Social Responsibility.
