Dubai, UAE, 30 January 2021:  Schneider Electric has rolled out plans to offer a majority of its employees flexible working hours and a choice to work remotely from home for two days each week. The company has adopted a series of changes, including a hybrid working model, following employee feedback in the company’s global employee survey which highlighted the benefits of the model including stronger work performance, greater well-being and a greener, more sustainable footprint. These changes form part of Schneider Electric’s New Ways of Working strategy.

In addition to the two days a week work from home standard, the company’s Global Flexibility at Work policy addresses hybrid work holistically. Employees will have access to mental health resources and training on how to make the most of the new working practices.

Schneider Electric will empower country leadership to determine which roles are eligible and other country-specific policy details, such as which digital tools or training requirements will be needed. The new standard will be implemented from January to June 2021.

“The world has changed and we are changing with it,” said Natalja Kissina, VP Human Resources, Schneider Electric Gulf. “The company’s New Ways of Working is based on flexibility, on trust and empowerment. We want to ensure that our people are able to do their best work through this new model, and we will be there to support them wherever they are, so that they’re able to achieve their potential.”
