Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 04, 2020:   This year, even though we might not be able to plan for summer as we usually do, it’s still coming! So, if you’re going to be enjoying it from your balcony, garden or during your daily exercise, the summer sun can still have an effect on your skin! Aside from the occasional summer sunburn, UV rays can also accelerate some common signs of skin aging like fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, and sagging skin. The increased humidity and temperature can contribute to other summer skin issues too, including extra oil and shine. All of these reasons are precisely why you’ll want to adjust your skin care routine during the summer months.

Here are a few quintessential steps to help your skin stay healthy and hydrated throughout the summer:

Scrub often!

Using a scrub once or twice a week in summer for all skin types is important. Not only will it effectively polish and stimulate the surface of your skin, it also promotes healthy cell regeneration. For the body, try Sukin’s Energizing body scrub and for the face, the Super Greens Detoxifying facial scrub will do the trick! For those with oily or combination skin, the Oil Balancing facial scrub will refresh and the overall texture of the skin.

Use lightweight moisturisers
Sun damage can dehydrate and damage your skin, causing signs of aging which is why moisturising is key. Stick to lightweight moisturisers - For normal skin types, try Sukin’s Facial Moisturizer, for combination/oily skin, try Sukin’s Oil Balancing Moisturizer and Sensitive Facial Moisturizer for sensitive skin.

Lather it up

The heat can be harsh on your skin. Use a body wash that is soap-free and aids in restoring the natural balance of moisture in your skin. Sukin’s Botanical Body Wash is enriched with aromatic botanicals and oils to gently cleanse and purify the body without drying. A combination of Rose-hip, Jojoba and Avocado Oils soften and lightly hydrate while Chamomile and Aloe Vera soothes the skin.

Cool down with a mist

When it’s super-hot outside and nothing else helps – keep a bottle of a face mist in your bag so you can mist your face any time of the day. Try the Sukin’s hydrating mist toner for a cool down especially after your skin is irritated or inflamed after prolonged sun exposure.

Sukin is available exclusively at LIFE Pharmacy retail outlets throughout the UAE, in Holland & Barrett,
Saudi Arabia and Boutiqaat in Kuwait. Sukin is also available in Lebanon at key pharmacies including Summerland Pharmacy, Arax Pharmacy and Express Pharmacy.
