Gala celebration of business leaders at Waldorf Astoria on March 21
Ras Al Khaimah, 29/2/2020: Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce is to honor the winners of the world’s top business awards.
The Middle East Stevie Awards recognize innovation in the workplace and the gala prize-giving ceremony will be held in Ras Al Khaimah on March 21.
Sponsored by RAK Chamber, dozens of companies from 12 countries across the MENA region have bagged honors in the first ever Middle East edition of the Stevie Awards.
H.E. Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, said the winners excel in innovation in products, services, management and websites among others that are associated with business development in the Middle East and North Africa.
“The awards will boost the performance of regional companies and enable them to contribute to sustainable economic development,” noted H.E. Al Nuaimi.
“Supporting innovation in the region has a great impact on enhancing the competitiveness of corporations and companies. This reflects positively on customers and the business community.”
From the hundreds of nominations received, judges recognized organizations in 12 countries that are dedicated to innovation and excellence.
Two “grand” or best in show awards were announced. Dubai Health Authority won a grand Stevie Award for the highest-rated nomination of the year for its “diagnostic and prognostic liquid biopsy biomarkers for asthma”.
Turkish pharmaceutical giant’s Boehringer Ingelheim, meanwhile, won the other grand Stevie for “organization of the year”.
Dubai Public Prosecution (United Arab Emirates); the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply (Amman, Jordan); the Ministry of Interior (Manama, Bahrain); Phenomenal PR (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia); and Ras Al Khaimah’s Transport Authority were among the other many winners.
Michael Gallagher, executive chairman of the Stevie Awards, said the first iteration of the Middle East Stevie Awards had been a great success and he praised Ras Al Khaimah for its key role in supporting business innovation.
“We are satisfied with the number of participants and the establishments that submitted their nominations, which helped us select qualified winners,” said Mr Gallagher. “We look forward to honoring the winners on March 21 in Ras Al Khaimah.”
The Stevie Awards were established in 2002. Every year, they highlight the achievements of organizations across the globe and the unsung individuals who stand behind them.
