AED 748 MILLION WORTH OF RETAIL SALES RECORDED AMONGST 21 PARTICIPATING MALLS 

 

Dubai; February 12, 2020:  The Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), in collaboration with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), concluded a successful campaign for the 25th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival - ‘Spin & Win’, with an incredible response from the Dubai shoppers.  Increasing the base of daily winners proved to be a major catalyst for the growing shopper transactions during the promotional run and also impacted the overall sales positively within all the participating malls.


The group’s initiative at increasing the sales and footfall at the participating malls has led to a significant increase in the number of participants this year. As many as 21 malls participated and offered a chance to their shoppers to participate in the “Spin Your Way Up to AED 1 Million” campaign. 50 winners from 15 nationalities, which included both residents and tourists showcased the diversity of shoppers that are attracted to the wide variety of offerings by the community malls.


Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said: “Shoppers from across the world look forward with anticipation to the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). DSF offers a perfect platform for collective mall groups like DSMG to host campaign promotions, focusing on enriching the shoppers’ experience. We design campaigns keeping certain targets in mind with an aim to boost the retail sector and reward shoppers during the special season and festive time. We are very happy with the support we have received from DSMG to make the 25th edition of DSF a massive success”. 


The malls participating in the Dubai Shopping Malls Group promotion this year include Al Barsha Mall, Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair Centre, Al Khail Gate Community Centre, Arabian Centre, Bay Avenue Business Bay, Burjuman Mall, City Centre Meaisem, City Centre Shindagha, Dubai Outlet Mall, Dubai Wharf,
Etihad Mall, Karama Centre, Mudon, Oasis Mall, Reef Mall, Shorooq Community Center.
