The summit discussed topics on how are people playing mobile games and what motivates them in a safe environment and is it a good place for advertisers? Survey findings revealed that 90% of people play a game on their mobile phone per day for at least 20 minutes. Two-thirds of people play games on a daily basis - men play more sports and females play more puzzles and casual games.

Majority of people play games while at home and watching TV. Young people aged between 18 to 24 play action, sport and more involved games consistently throughout the day for fun and socialization while people aged between 45 years and over play for relaxation, destress and mind exercises and peak around 8-11pm at night.

Egypt ranked the highest in number of smart phone mobile gamers in the world followed by Brazil and Russia. For advertisers, it is important to know that 70% of people feel mobile gaming is a safe environment for advertising as people are overwhelmingly happy when playing a game as they indulge in this activity to relax after work. Hence gaming has become a viable form of entertainment for players from all backgrounds and ages.

Warrick Billingham, Regional Sales Director – MENA said, “‘Our Intelligence Summit continues to grow from strength to strength. This year over 350 of our global client and agency partners from 25 countries joined us in Istanbul to talk through the hottest topics and trends in digital. As digital ad spending increases day by day, marketers are keeping an eye on emerging trends and new ways to reach their intended audience via places to invest, areas to avoid & up-and-coming technologies.”

“With AdColony Intelligence Summit 2019, our main objective was to address all of these areas effectively. With a list of fantastic key note speakers, great interactive panel discussions and of course time set aside to enjoy Istanbul’s hospitality, I’m sure all in attendance enjoyed themselves immensely, both on and off the field”

The General Manager of AdColony EMEA and LATAM Volkan Bicer said, “As AdColony Turkey, we are proud to be able to organize the second edition of our successful event, ACIS on a larger scale once again. The event is important for both Turkey and Global since we bring all the digital industry leaders under one roof for two days on a global scale and I believe ACIS’19 will change the way how global markets see Turkey and the Turkish media industry.'
